Question
my 7 year old lab just got diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor. he has seizures every now and then, and the vet said that the tumor wasn't huge or anything. we can give him medicine for the seizures and do radiation to prolong the life of him. Or we could just put him to sleep. i don't know what to do...what do you suggest?

Answer
Hi Samantha,

I am sorry for your lab. I know these must be hard times for you.

I will tell you how i have dealt with terminal diseases with my pets. I've always relieved them of their misery and put them to sleep.

I know it must be hard. You've had 7 wonderful years with him. He'll be in pain with his tumor and his constant headaches. Let him go. Send him to doggy heaven.

Ask your vet the best procedure to put him to sleep. DO NOT TRY it yourself.

Best,
Sam
