waking in the night

Question
Hi.  I have had my little lab puppy for four weeks, which makes her 14 weeks old right now.  She has always slept so well through the night that I wasn't finding or maybe wanting to kennel her at night, especially as she has to be kenneled while I'm at work during the day.
Since I've had her we've had a routine of bedtime at 9-930 p.m. and up around 6-630 a.m. However, in the last four nights she's decided although she is absolutely exhausted and sticks to the schedule we've been on since I got her of falling asleep like clockwork at 9-930 pm she wakes up every two hours, literally all night long. Needless to say it's killing me.  I don't want to use a kennel as punishment as I've read not to do.  Also, there seems no rhyme or reason to her waking. I'd be happy to let her out to go potty but like I said for weeks she's held going to the bathroom all night. She sometimes wants water, sometimes to get a bone to chew on sometimes just to wander the living room.

Any suggestions on how to "cure" this recent habit would be appreciated.
Thanks!

Answer
Kenneling at night really isn't punishing.  She should be sleeping.  Leave her a Nylabone so she can chew it for a while if she wakes up before going back to sleep.  Kenneling will also prevent unwanted chewing.  Just give her plenty of free time in the evening.
