I have a female lab 9 yrs old second generation great don never been bread considering having her bread in spring so as to have 3rd generation if it's possible and feasible.

You should not breed a bitch past 6 years unless you are fine with risking losing her.  Not sure what "great don" means.  

If you do go through with it, please make sure you have done ALL CLEARANCES on the girl (OFA hip/elbows/heart, CERF for eyes, PRA test for eyes, EIC and CNM).  To miss any of these is irresponsible.  And any stud you use should have these same clearances.

I won't go into titles and how these breeding dogs should have been proven in some way (show/obedience/hunting titles).  

Honestly, I would not breed a girl that old, it's just plain mean.  Pregnancy takes alot out of these girls and it's not fair to do it to one so old.  You have been VERY lucky that she has not gotten sick with Pyometria by now, which is something VERY common in old intact girls.
