Our 2 year old lab just started having accidents

Question
We got a 2 year old female from the Ky Lab Rescue on last Sat.  She has been spayed and was crate trained and housebroken.  She didnt have any problems until Fri afternoon when we picked her up from the vet.  She had been in the hosp. due to vomiting some bile on Thurs and then not eating or drinking.  I took her there at about 12:30am Fri and she was on IV fluids for a few hours and then discharged - we picked her up Fri afternoon.  When we got home I let her out to pee but she didn't have to go.  About 1/2 hour later we found a puddle on the basement floor and since then she has had 3-4 more accidents.  I'm home with her all day and take her out 4-5 times to pee but she doesn't always go and then I'll find a mess in the house. But for the first 6 days she never had an accident.  Thought the first accident was just because of the IV fluids but we're way past that now.

Answer
This may be due to the medical problems and go away itself.  For now, watch her and try to take her out when she needs to go.  When you take her out, walk her around to stimulate elimination.  If she does anything, praise her lavishly.  When you are around you need to keep a close eye on the dog.  Use closed doors or gates to keep it in the same room as you are, and perhaps as I do, a short chain fastened to the computer desk.  If you catch it in the act, give it a sharp ''Ah, ah, ah!'' and take it out.  When you can't watch it, crate it.
