hair fall

Question
My mix labrador retriever,5 mths old, his hair falls constantly.
I am giving him the coat vitalizer which is prescribed by the doctor,still his hair are falling constantly.
please give your suggestions so that his hair stops falling and do tell what medicines i should give him?

Feed a decent chow and as little else as possible, seldom if ever bathe the dog,
and brush it daily with a soft bristled brush.  I think Pedigree and Pro Plan are both available in India.  either should be fine.  In the peak fall and spring shedding, period, I switch to a wire slicker brush.  A Lab is always going to shed some.
