Question
Hi
I have a 5.5 year old black female labrador named Kiya.
What is the correct/ healthy weight for a dog of this age?
Many thanks for your advice

Answer
There is no average weight for lab.  The standard says they should be 55 - 70 pounds.  And then it all depends on their height and pedigree.

Many say that if you can easily feel their ribs when you rub their sides (you don't want to see them), they are at their ideal weight.

You may want to run this buy your vet as well.  Vets tend to prefer labs on the thin side as it helps with their joints.
