My 3 year old golden

Question
We have a 3 year old golden male, not neutered.  He has had some aggression in the past with my sisters boxer usually over food.  The other night my daughter and I were outside playing with him and came in when it was time for dinner.  She gave him two biscuits and I filled his bowl with food.  When he eats he is a little sloppy so food usually falls out.  My daughter picked it up and gave it to him.  For some  reason when I went to pick up his food he went after me and got my arm pretty bad.  We are sick to death over this and don't know what we should do.  Do you have any input or suggestions.  Please help us we love this dog more than anything, but I don't want to put my daughter in any danger.

Answer
Call the vet tomorrow and schedule neutering him.  Don't even think of ever breeding him.

The key to most behavior problems is approaching things using the dog's natural instincts.  Dogs see all the people and dogs in the household as a pack with each having their own rank in the pack and a top dog.  Life is much easier if the 2 legged pack members outrank the 4 legged ones.  You can learn to play the role of top dog by reading some books or going to a good obedience class. A good obedience class or book is about you being top dog, not about rewarding standard commands with a treat.
