skinny retriever

I have a 9 month old male golden. Everyone around says he is too skinny.This is my first golden so I'm not sure what a good weight is. He stands around 3 ft to the top of his head. He eats twice a day and is up on all vet visits. Am I doing something wrong.

A good vet would say something if he was too skinny.  A better vet would commend you if he is lean and healthy.  Form your own opinion based on http://www.longliveyourdog.com/twoplus/RateYourDog.aspx  His ideal body condition may leave him skinnier than most goldens, but he should live longer.  

You can cut him back to one meal a day and switch to adult chow now.
