limp in a 2 year old

Hello, I have a two year old golden who recently played hard on the beach and has a limp in her hind leg after prolonged rest.  I know her ancestry well and there is no history whatsoever of hip dysplasia.  I have been giving her aspirin daily, which appears to help, but it is now nearly 2 weeks and it persists.  Should I be concerned for dysplasia or does this sound like muscular/tendon strain?

Hi Amy - I would assume it is some inflammation in the joint or tendons.  Try a few natural choices.... if it is not better in another 3-4 weeks, then see the vet for some x-rays.  I hate to put her thru the x-rays and the manipulation if she doesn't need it.  Also, the expense on your part.

I would stop the baby aspirin or go to every-other-day on the 81 mg baby aspirin.  Don't do the 325 mg aspirin, it will mess with her belly.

Next, please get some Turmeric herb and give this to her daily - here is what I am talking about - you can find this in Walmart or Target Stores... health and beauty section: Give her one per day- for at least 2 months.  All Natural and safe for her...
