Question
I just purchased my golden retriever puppy from a hobby breeder as i was not interested in having papers come with the puppy. I am just curious as to whether or not my puppy is a purebred as he has a small amount of white on his front left paw and a very small amount of white on his chest? The breeder did inform me of these spots before the purchase. There are a few people who say that its ok that a golden retriever have white spots it just means they are not show quality, is this true or could it be that he is not purebred?
Thank you
Nikki

Answer
Hello Nikki

When I got my golden/lab cross puppy she had white marks on her front feet but they have dissapered, thou my dog isn't a pure bred I think that some puppy are born with the markings and then fade with age. Also it may just be that because these markings are there that the puppy was dubbed on showable or unbreedable because of these faltes. If your puppy has a fluffy coat and has that golden look in his face then hes dieffenitly a golden.
