Question
I recently adopted a golden from a rescue and his hair is pretty messed up. He has knots everywhere and he has two huge knots under his ears. How can I get rid of those?

Answer
Veronica - Thank you for taking on this gal.  Is there any way you can get her to a groomer - they have the right tools to cut out the mats and knots... They have all kinds of gadgets to help save her coat and still make her look good.
If you mention she is a Rescue, they may give you a discount on service....  YOU can even ask if they will give a discount?  It sure can't hurt to ask. Right?

There is a razor you can buy that cuts the knots out.  BE very careful if you use this - VERY sharp.
YOu can buy everything at the local pet store.

I bet some nice groomer will give you a discount for services...Just call around and tell them what you have.

Good Luck to you.
