Question
QUESTION: SIR , I AM INDIAN AND CANNOT GIVE MY 8 MONTHS OLD GERMAN SHEPHERD NON VEGETARIAN FOOD
PLEASE CAN U GIVE ME DETAILS OF HIS VEGETARIAN DIET I MUST GIVE HIM
THANKS

ANSWER: You can buy vegetarian dog foods, which I would advice.  It would be quite difficult to make sure your dog was getting a complete and balanced diet making your own vegetarian diet.  Dogs' digestive systems are different from ours.  They don't digest vegetables nearly as well as we do.  I can't give you a brand or a source.  If the ads on this site don't guide you to a suitable product, try doing a net search. You may want to look at regular Purina.  It does contain some animal products, but very little.

QUESTION: sir he is about 8 months and just weighs 20 kg
isn't it too less
please suggest what must i do?
i am too concerend.
thanks for your previous reply

Answer
20 kg at 8 months sounds a little small for a Lab, but is OK unless he is too thin.  Your dog definitely should be narrower at the waist than the hips and chest. You should be able to easily feel the ribs, but not see them. Each dog is different. Standard recommendations are a good place to start, but each dog must have its food and exercise adjusted to its individual needs. As I said, vegetarian dog foods should be available if you check.
