My dog is always chasing his tail and it seems that sommething is wrong. Do you know if that is normal?

Hi Randall,  German Shepherds are herding dogs, so what triggers them to chase their tails is that they see the flash of fur out of the corner of their eye and they think it is an animal.  So they start to chase it to herd it.  It is a normal instinct that comes out in them.  It is not abnormal, and can get very intense for them depending on how strong their instinct is.  Hope this helps,
