spaying older dogs

Question
I have a 5 year old female German Shepherd who is not spayed. We are considering getting her spayed now. Can you give me the disadvantages to having this done.

Aside from the expense, and a slight risk of something going wrong, none.  There is some debate about problems coming from the common 6 months, but after sexual maturity, there are no known problems.  Yoiu are done with the hassles of her cominbg in season, the flaky behavior, the risks of accidental breeding, etc.
