heat

Question
I am the owneer of a female german sheperd puppy.  Her papers say she was born in August of 2004.  Is it possible that she could already be in heat.  She is showing signs of bleeding.  She is a very large dog already. I also do regular vet visits.  I just noticed this tonight and am concerned.

YES SHE IS MOST LIKELY IN HEAT THEY COME INTO HEAT AT SIX MONTHS OLD TWICE A YEAR FOR 21 DAYS.
I WOULD GET HER SPAYED SO NOT TO HAVE UNWANTED PUPPIES, THE VET WILL DO THIS WHILE IN HEAT ALSO.  IT IS THE BEST THING TO DO FOR HER AND WILL MAKE HER A HEALTHIER HAPPIER PET FOR YOU THAN PUT UP WITH THIS.
