Digestion

I have an 8 year old German shepherd, that I rescued.  She has a terrible digestive tract.  If she gets anything that isn't part of her prescription diet she has a terrible time, vomiting and she will have loose stool.  I wanted to know if you knew if Royal Canin German Shepherd Maxi 24 would be a good dog food for her.  She is on a Purina EN Gastroenteric  and its very expensive, along with expensive medications for her bad hips.  Her dog food is $42 for 20lbs plus her meds, every 3 weeks its costing me over $100.  Can you help me?

While most dogs will thrive on most chows, the ones with a sensitive stomachs are each different.  All I can say is try it.  Royal Canin is very well thought of.

I encourage rescuing dogs and hate to see people have trouble like you are.  If it is any consulation, I see similar questions from those buying from a breeder.
