QuestionOiver, my 9 year old, 17.5 pound, rescue doxie gets dandruff on his low back each fall/winter. We feed him Eukanuba for Dachshunds and Old Mother Hubbard treats. He does not seem to itch. If you recommend fish oil/egg, please let me know how much and how to prepare it for my man. Thanks so much for your help.
AnswerHe might have allergies. I give my dogs salmon oil that you buy in the pet stores - it goes on their food and they love it - amount goes by weight. You can also try oatmeal baths - there is a shampoo. Hope that helps! If it persists or becomes itchy, check with your vet.
