Question
ho i have a 4 month old sprocker spaniel he has started to pull on his lead when we go for a walk he is pulling so much he is hurting your hand and i cant let the children take him for a walk anymore incase he pulls them over i have tried stopping when he pulls with the hope that he will get fed up at not getting anywhere but the minute we start walking again he starts pulling again i am using a harness at the moment because when the lead was attached to his collar round his neck he was choking himself the harness seemed to work for a few days but now we have gone backwards and got even worse

Answer
Ann, your puppy needs obedience classes.  Or hire a trainer to come to your house.

Actually, this isn't hard to correct with a little patience and persistence but you need someone to show you
how to train him to walk properly.  Otherwise walking him will be such a chore you won't do it.

Most PetSmart stores offer inexpensive puppy classes.
Ask your vet - ask your groomer - friends with dogs - look in the Yellow pages.

You're overdue to begin training anyway.  It's amazing how easy it is when a professional shows you the right way.

I wish I could be of more help and just zip over and show you..but obviously I can't :)
You need help, so go get some !
