when should my wee girl go into heat for the 1st time?????

I have a 10 month old blue roan cocker bitch and was looking to know when she would be likely to go into heat?

Hi Dominic, Ooooh congratulations on your baby girl I have Blue Roan aswell I just love the colouring.
Well it could be anytime from now there is no hard and fast rule Lucy was 13 months before her first season, keep your eye on her from now on, her vulva will start to swell and the obvious signs are bleeding but she may act a little differently go off her food its all quite normal, but watch out for dogs interest in her, some females for their first season bleed very little.
