Question
my two year old blk & white cocker spaniel is always itchy.  Once the vet gave her a shot, but I didn't see much change.  Sometimes I might find a small sore.  I can't afford to keep going to the vet and trying new things. We live in the Chicago area.  Thanks Laurie

Answer
Cut out the baths.  Brush her instead, at least a few minutes every day with a soft bristle brush.  That will also leave less hair to clean up.  If you are feeding one of the cheaper chows, try adding a table spoon of ordinary cooking oil every day.  Try this for a month.  If no better, send a follow up and I will give you some other ideas.
