Questionhi i have a litter of 5, all born lookin same size but at 5 days old there is an obvious size difference in one. they weigh approx 1.25lb but she weighs about 0.75lb. she's just as active but should i feed her extra? p.s mum's a good mum.
AnswerHi Fiona,
She may be the runt of the litter. Make sure she's getting enough food from Mum and watch that she has a strong enough will to stand up to her bigger mates. Keep a close eye at feeding time and that she's getting all she wants.
Just because she's smaller doesn't mean she won't be healthy IF she's getting enough nourishment.
If you still have concerns, give your vet a call and ask
what's the best way to handle things.
Best of luck,
Delores
