cocker mix with trembling and shivering

Question
I have a red cocker mix that is about 12 years old. I have seen some answers to this trembling thing on other sites. She just started this a few hours ago. Some of them had gotten pretty bad. Some of the other sites said some things about possible Addison's Disease. However, she was diagnosed with that about 2 years ago when she became very lathargic and I took her to the vet. She was very dehydrated and had to stay overnight on IV fluids. After extensive blood work and a hunch that our vet had, she was diagnosed with Addison's. She has been on monthly shots of percorton (I probably spelled that wrong) ever since. I am wondering if the tremors may be an indication that we need to look at the dosage of the shots. Her last shot was on the 18th. Do you think that an oral dose of prednisone may help? She is showing no other symptoms. She has never done this before. Perhaps there is something causing her pain. I don't know. I will probably be taking her to the vet in the morning, since I work nights. I was just wondering what you thought. Thank you for your answer.

Answer
I can't put links on this board, but I do remember reading about a peculiar "shaking syndrome" that affects "red cockers".  However, if she's been properly diagnosed with Addison's, it could be a dosage problem.  I'm glad you taking her to the vet immediately and wish I could be of more help.  Ask about her potassium levels when you see the vet.
Best of luck,
Delores
