food for cocker puppy

Two weeks ago we brought an eight-week-old cocker puppy home. We have been feeding her Nutro Natural Choice Lamb and Rice dry food. I see in other responses to folks with older cockers that you all recommend canned food, low in carbs. Does this apply for puppies as well? What is your food recommendation for cocker puppies? Thanks!

Hi Rhonda, i am no expert on food,i can only tell you what my Cocker is fed on and what her puppies were weaned on to and are still being fed on, My girl is fed on Bakers Complete Chicken and Rice dried, and the puppies were fed Bakers Complete Puppy Food i am in touch with all her puppies and they are still being fed on this and all doing really well, As a puppy my girl was being fed Iams but i changed her over to Bakers because Iams is very high in energy and Cockers do not need High Energy Foods. The only thing i think with tinned food is most of it is water, plus their motions are smelly!!!
