chronic ear infrections in cocker spaniels

Question
I adopted a cocker spaniel that was abandoned.  She has chronic ear infections which seem to be antibiotic resistant. We just started using Zymology.  Her problem is her canal are extremely narrow and she has wart like bumps in them.  I don't think the meds are getting all the way down the canal.  What do you suggest? Thanks Judy Romano

Answer
Judy, do you mean Zymox Ear products?

Tell me exactly which product.  They have a cleaner and two different meds.

Do you know how to properly clean ears? (If this is your first cocker, maybe not?)

Zymox is an amazing treatment but you must use it correctly.  For instance, if you are using the med - fill the canal, drop the ear & massage and do NOT clean it out of the ear canal.
Just wipe excess off her ear flap (which will fly out when she shakes her head).
