BULLDOGS AND CHILDREN

Question
I DON'T HAVE ANY EXPERIENCE WITH ANY DOGS. MY HUSBAND WANTS TO BUY A BULLDOG PUPPY FOR OUR FOUR BOYS,10,4,2 AND 2 MONTHS FROM A PRIVATE BREEDER. IS THIS A GOOD IDEA? ARE THEY USUALLY GOOD WITH KIDS?

Answer
First of all, let me say you have your hands will with 4 children. Secondarily, you have no experience with dogs.

Either the children will exhaust a Bulldog puppy or you'll be ready to kill it because it's just so much work to raise one.
Bulldogs are great with children, but there's only so much you can expect.

Personally, I wouldn't sell a puppy into a household with children this age. I think it's just too much for the puppy and for you too.  Maybe when the youngest is 4 you might think about it again.

Tell your husband to consider a kitten!
