eye discharge/wrinkle care/anal glands odor

Question
Sarge is my 5 year old baby. He developed allergies two years with the sneezing (grass) and green eye discharge. Our Vet treated him with temaril-P, Cephalexin,Malleb wipes, eye suave. Periodically we must treat with all of the above until his face clears (scratching, eye goo, smelly wrinkles). He is doing quite well with daily eye/wrinkle cleaning. The only trouble now is his eyes have brown circles around the upper and lower lids. I can not get this clean at all. There is no yeast infection or eye infection but he is having some brownish discharge in the morning when he wakes up. I roll his bottom lid back to clean every morning and wipe the goo out. I just don't know what to use for the brown stains around his eyes and face wrinkles. I do not want to irritate his eyes or face. Also he started scooting back in feb/march but only for a short time. The vet said if this continued than he may need his anal glands drained. The scooting stopped within a week or two but he has a terrible odor every now and then from his behind. It almost reminds me of a dry tropical fish food (lol)odor. Sometimes when he is riding in the car he starts with trying to chase after his tail (impossible) and the smell starts up (horrific) and he begins to lick the seat where he was sitting. Should I take him to have his anal glands checked, can I do this myself or is this self secretion and is this normal? Lately when he is sleeping (my bed) this odor begins. It is not his normal gas smell either. I was wondering if NuVet would help with his alleries and should I change or add something else to his diet. He eats approx 3 cups dry Royal Cainine veterinary Lo-Fat dry food daily. any suggestion would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance, Priscilla
