Bulldog shedding and brushing

Question
Hi, our Stella is a 1 1/2 year white English Bulldog. She grew up on Royal Canin puppy and is now on Eukenaba Medium Breed. She has ALWAYS had a major shedding problem, to the point that I really dont think its normal. I can brush her outside with the zoom groom and when I am done there is a ton of her hair visible on the ground. She doesnt have any bare spots and seems very healthy. Vet said its normal. She hates to be brushed and I recently bought the furminator - couldnt even use it on her, she had a fit! I even tried putting some peanut butter down first, I knew right away it wasnt goign to happen. We also tried organic salmon oil in her food, nothing really helps. Do you have any suggestions? Any ideas as to why she would HATE to be brushed? Dont dogs usually like that? She really isnt big into getting pet unless its on her tummy though.

Answer
Julie:  I have a scottish terrier that hates to be brushed.  She gets shaved down by the groomer 3 x per year.  They have to put a muzzle on her.  Scotties have long hair....we have no choice but to do the muzzle.

For you, let's get your baby on a good skin and coat supplement- This is guaranteed to lessen and control the shedding OR YOUR money will be refunded.  Call Joan at NuVET Plus - Tell her Marie told you to call and get the NuVET Plus wafers.  You will need 2 per day for the first 30 days.  Then, you can put her down to 1 per day.  One wafer treat costs about .55 to .60 cents each.  ALL natural.
After 3-4 weeks you should see a big difference in her coat.
More shine and less shedding!

Also, ask for the NuVET Tea Tree oil Shampoo and Conditioner.  This is wonderful stuff!  Give her a bath in this every 3 weeks.  NuVET is not sold in stores...ONLY from Breeders, groomers and vets.
Buy from the manufacturer and save $$$$
Joan is at  1-800-474-7044 ext 265
Again, this is guaranteed - Ask Joan about the money back guaranteed offer.  Joan is a pleasure to talk to... Tell her about your baby and the problems..

As for food, I would change her over to Innova EvO - this is a grain free dog food....... Excellent for what you have experienced.  The foods you have been using have too much grain.
Your vet is not always very educated in foods and food options.

Give your old food and the new food ( mix them) for 3 weeks.  Then, after 3 weeks go 100% of the Innova Evo.  This can be found in most pet stores.

Give me an e-mail after you have done the NuVet and the food change. Let me know how it is going in about 30 days.

Thanks and BEST wishes!!!!

Added info:  The NuVET would only be 1 wafer per day ... That is only .55 cents per day.
You can do two wafer per day just for the first month... Or,you can do just one a day.  I like to start a bolus dosage of 2 per day to give your baby a KICK start.

In the long run a good food and NuVET Plus will help to keep your vet costs down.

Just thought I would add this..
BEST wishes
