Question
Hi,
My family (2 adults, 12 year old daughter and a very active 5 year old son) live in the Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. We're interested in getting a BT but are worried that high summer temps will affect him. Also, any ideas if I should contact a local petshop (not always very professional) or should I look online for breeders and have the dog shipped over?
Thanks for your help,
Elina

Answer
Hello, It is never recommended to buy from a petstore the chances of the puppies sold there being from puppy mills(horrid places where dogs are kept and bred in filthy cages of pens until they are no longer able to produce and therefore females are always overbred...making for often sickly puppies) The heat is a big problem with this breed and i am not too sure exactly how hot it gets where you are but if it is often very hot then I wouldn't recommend a Boston Terrier they can not take the heat even with a fan....perfect nares(they can have stenic nares please look this up via your search engine) and cool water available at all times they Still overheat too much and can die from heat exhaustion easily.
