Question
I have a 2 year old Boston recently spayed.
We got her as a very young puppy. At the time we had a 14 year old rat terrier who died last year. The two got along great and even slept together. I think the puppy actually extended his life and they played together often when he was feeling good.Shortly after he died, she started to get aggressive with strangers (barking and growling causing me to put her in a back room.) My husband died a few months ago and it has gotten even worse. If someone comes over I am actually afraid to leave her loose. I don't know if she would bite. She has also started to have accidents in the house and was house trained. She is still great with me and the kids and people she knows. She is extremely loving and affectionate with us. We love her dearly. Any suggestions?

Answer
Oh Kathy, with the loss of your husband and rat terrier she is anxious and has lost her pack... The pack leader was your husband or the rat terrier/ not sure who?  The anxiety and territorial aggression is because of the Losses.
I suggest you get this book / written by a good friend/
The Human Pack.

You will need a trainer to come to our home a few times.  ( on your dog's own turf.  )

Sorry, I am not a trainer but I do know that your dog has the territorial aggression.
Do a search on this subject and get the book.

BEST wishes and Sorry for your loss!
