having male beagles fixed

I have heard from my vet that having beagles fixed may dramaticly change there mood and temperament can you tell me how true this is. thank you

HI there, thanks for writing. I don't know if I would ever go along with "dramatically", I would say for a male it may calm them down a bit, eliminate humping and dominance spraying and the deisre to roam to find females in heat. In a female I have not seen any personality changes. THere are distinct health advantages for both sexes though.In a male it elminates 100% the possibility of testicular cancer or problems with their testes and with females it is said to lower the possibility of breast cancer to almost zero.
