Question
when i drive with my dog she hides under the seats and it gotten to a point were i can't take her anywere because she dives by the pedals my mom thinks its because she had a bad experience with cars
any ideas how i can get her to stop

Answer
Wow, this is so dangerous as I am sure you know. First off she should be relegated to the back always and trained to never come to the front seats. I think the best thing would be for you to get a doggy seat belt or a portable crate. Especially if you dont have an suv or wagon type back. It is too easy for her to fall off the back seats in a car and dogs can be like projectiles in an accident, especially in the front seat, they will not survive a crash this way.

You don't mention if she is a beagle but if so you can get a medium size collapsible crate that she goes in whenever you travel. Or you can get the metal kind and then she can see all around her. This is the safest method of travel, next would be the doggy seat belt. To teach her to go in the treat give her a rawhide or something special like a stuffed Kong that hse gets ONLY when she is in the crate. This iwll entice her and she will come to associate it with good things.

You also didnt mentionif she appears car sick, foaming at the mouth or vomiting sounds... if so ask the vet for meds for her when you travel.
