Question
We have 4 year old beagle lab mix, we just adopted 2 weeks ago. The people who had her before us said they took her to the vet and nothing was wrong. But since we got her she will not eat, listen, or stay off the couch. All she really does is sleep. She makes really loud grunting and snorting noises, especially while she sleeps. Were in love with her and we don't want her to be sick. please help

Answer
Hello Destiny!
I want to apologize for taking so long to answer your question. What your beagle is experiencing is separation anxiety. She is missing her old owners. Assuming she was with her previous owner for four years, its going to be hard for her. Her weight might change and her diet might change. Just try your best to get her excited about different things like saying " You wanna go outside?!" and she will become more active. A change in lifestyle is hard for humans let alone a animal that can't speak. Keep her active. Get her some rubber squeaky toys that make funny or interesting noises. When you leave your home keep a radio or the television on so she will feel like someone is still with her. I don't think the grunting and snorting would be from anxiety, but it is allergy season and pollen is bad this year. My beagle is actually on allergy medicine right now. When she sleeps she sounds like a little pig. Get a cheap dehumidifier and that will help out. I hope I have helped you out. I you need anything else please don't hesitate to ask anything else. Good luck and I hope for the best.
