Cat breath

16:39:02

Question
We got our cat from a shelter and took her to a vet when we got her home.  Her breath was terrible and the vet put her to sleep and cleaned her teeth.  Her breath is much improved, but it still has a strong odor.  Is this normal?  Do we have to learn to brush her teeth?  Thanks.
P.S. The vet says he never has brushed his cat's teeth!

Answer
Hi Glenn!
I have never brushed my cats teeth either, but I know of people who do.  It's good for the cat and will help avoid having to have them cleaned later.    She may just have bad breath.....the food cats eat is kinda fishy smelling anyway.

God Bless,
Becky
