hurting cat

I have a male kitten that was a few weeks old he was a walking skeleton and hours from death when he was found, my daughter took care of him and nursed him back to health. He is now about 6 months old and yesterday when we picked him up to hold him and touched his stomach he cried and was in obvious pain. This morning he was acting like he was okay and a few hours later he was acting like he was in pain again. I might add that he eats all the time and is otherwise acting like a healthy normal kitten. Please let me know if you have any suggestions.

This is NOT normal.  I would get the kitten to a vet immediately to see what is going on.  It sounds as if the kittten has some type of internal probalem and the sooner you get it corrected, the faster the kitten will enjoy being picked up.
