female cat is in season

I want to breed my female cat, should i take her to the male or should the male come to her home

Most often the female is taken to the male.  Occasionally, there is a female who just will not take unless she is in her home surroundings.  In this case, the male can come to the female, but there is no guarantee he will do the deed in strange surroundings.  Male cats, after all, are very territorial.
