kitten mucous

Question
I have a 4 month old exotic breed kitten, who by all accounts has been acting and looking 100% healthy.  However, 3 times (over a month) I have come home and found a tiny (1mL)amount of mucous on the bedroom floor and it has blood in it.  Her stool and pee seem fine, maybe peeing a little more than usual (4 times a day?).  I know people with these issues may have a sinus infection, she rarely sneezes, and is as energetic as always.  Any info would be great, thanks.

Answer
Ryan,

This does bear watching.  You can always have your kitten checked out by your vet.  I would think that a sinus infection would be accompanied by a high white blood cell count.  My feeling is that, unless it gets worse, I would not do much about it, as long as the kitten is behaving normally.  Some breathing and nasal issues are not uncommon with Exotics.

Note that I am not a vet, but for your own peace of mind, I would have the kitten checked out.

Best regards... Norm.
