MY CAT HAD JUST ONE BABY AND SHE S FINE. I WAS THERE AS SHE WOULD NOT HAVE IT ANY OTHER WAY AS SHE S VERY CLOSE TO ME AND DELIVERY WAS QUIET AND SMOOTH AND SHE S NURSING WELL AND EATING AND BACK TO HERSELF. IM WONDERING HOW COMMON IT IS FOR CATS TO HAVE JUST ONE BABY AND WHY SHE S SO ADAMENT THAT I GO UPSTAIRS WITH HER ALL THE TIME TO CHECK ON THE BABY AND STUFF. SHE SEEMS BENT AND DETERMINED TO GET ME TO GO, EVEN WENT AS FAR AS TO TRY AND GRAB MY HAND WITH HER PAW WHILE I WAS AT BOTTOM OF STAIRS HOLDING THE BANNISTER . FUNNY GIRL SHE IS AND SMART. BUT SHE S MEOWING ALOT TRYING TO MAKE ME GO WITH HER.  SHE S OBVIOUSLY VERRY HAPPY AND HEALTHY AND BACK TO HER PRE PREGO SIZE NURSING WELL AND CUTE, BUT IM WONDERING IF SHE FEELS SAFER HAVING ME THERE WITH HER, MAYBE SHE S INSECURE ABOUT IT ALL AS SHE S ONLY A LITTLE OVER 1 YEAR OLD ANYWAY IF YOU CAN HELP ME IT WOULD BE GREAT...GONNA TAKE HER AND GET HER FIXED AS SOON AS BABYS WEANED AND BABY TOO. HOW CAN YOU TELL THE SEX OF THE KITTY ALSO? ANYWAY PLANNED ON HAVIN HER FIXED BUT SHE GOT PREG BEFORE i COULD....ANYWAY TAKE CARE HOPE TO HEAR FROM YA SOON.

I think cats sometimes think of us as surrogate parents.  I never try to second guess what a cat may be thinking.  BUT, how nice to have such a magic, special bond with your kitty!!!!!

It sounds to me as if she is doing fine and, to anthropomorphize a bit, wants you to share the joys of motherhood with her.  I think that is so great!!!!!

To tell the sex of the kitten, look under the tail.

A male has a colon ( : ) under the tail, the top dot being the anus and the bottom dot being the penile sheath.

A female has an upside down exclamation point ( ! ) under the tail, the top dot being the anus and the bottom stroke being the entrance to the vagina.
