Seperating My Cats due to Ilness

I have to seperate my two cats, who have lived together for about a year and a half.  My boy cat most likely has the FIPV (feline virus).  My boyfriend is keeping my girl cat and I have the sick boy.  Are they going to be extremely depressed?  Also, will they miss each other?  I am so worried.  Thank you.

Yes, I would think that they would miss each other for a while, especially the girl cat which is away from her own home. However, they'll get over it soon. It would be most advisable to make sure that your boy cat has fully recovered before you put them together again as FIPV spreads very easily from cat to cat.
