eating habits of cats.

Hi, I am writing from India. I have two cats and they are very selective when it comes to eating. they love cat food but I have no idea whether its good for them. my Vet suggests that eating catfood can lead to kidney faliure.is it so? I am currently feeding them meat and fish and also dry catfood. please help.

What is the brand of catfood that you are referring to? Generally, if you feed premium cat food, it should have a good overall nutrition. Dry food will have a higher nutritional value compared to canned feline food. However, cats would generally prefer wet food because it is tastier. I would suggest that you do not feed your cats fish because it has bones and also it leaves them with bad breath. Chicken, lamb and turkey will be good for their fur.
