how many cats

hi....
I have borderline asthma...and the docter says i cannot have a cat but i REALLY want one. When im around cats i dont have a stuffy nose,no sneezing,no watery eyes...etc. My grandma is giving away some cats. Do u think i should listen to the docter and not get one. I eiether want one or two cats. Do you think i should get one or not? I dont know if u can answer this question...but let me know what you think.

I don't know what to tell you.  If you get one, make sure that you have a home ready for him/her in case you can't keep it.  It would be hard on the kitty to have to be put in another home.  This is something that only you can answer.
