cat open sore

Question
As of late i noticed an open wound/sore on my cats tail near his back.  I cleaned the area and it healed.  It's back. Is an open sore, like a hole but with a tear. It is bloody. I can see into his flesh to the "tail". Tissue seems to be healthy and not necrotic. Very worried if contagious to my dog . have appt on tuesday. thought it was a would from climbing into the box spring...but cannt find any blood there. any suggestions?

I would keep it as clean as you can...I would go to a drug store and get some gauze and try and keep it clean and wraped up with the gauze and also try to make an appt earlier then tuesday that would be the best thing to do is get it earlier then tuesday and keep it clean but also tell your vet that it has happend before so he/she knows about it
