so what happened to the other kittens, any ideas?

Question -
We had a couple of kittens, brother and sister, about 3 months old. They are outdoor kittens, kept in a cage at nite. The female disappeared in the middle of the day, 4 days later the male got sick, threw up at nite, was sick for two nites and one and a half days, then disappeared. The male was very inactive, even layed in a puddle of water, seamed to have a temperature. Seems like he may have eaten poison?
We would like to get two more kittens, for my boys but am concerned the same thing might happen  to them.

nothing should happen if you get two more. you can get them from the pound were they are for sure in good health. Also with strays or outdoor cats i would suggest you take them to the vet to get a clean bill of health

the female i have no clue, but the male may have passed away because i have heard from my boss that when cat or dogs and getting ready to pass they try to hide somewhere or they run off because they dont want their owner to be upset, thats possible. I would check around the house under the house and prolly 100-200ft away from the house or in the woods if you have some near your house.
