parasites

A couple of days ago I found a very young kitten on the highway so I picked it up and when I got it home my mom pointed out that it had a whole in it's neck at first we thought it had been shot with a b.b gun then we realized that it was actually some kind of parasite or worm. So I was wondering how I would get rid of it and if I had to worry about my animals getting this worm or whatever it is?

I believe this kitten has what is called a "screw worm".  You may be able to see it inside this hole - but the kitten MUST go to the Vet to get this removed, before it damages too much tissue ok?

After the Vet removes this worm, your new kitten will recover and be so LOVING for you helping it, and become a fine cat.
