Question
My 2 year old cat is about to have her first litter of kittens. her father and i'm sure the father of her litter will not leave the house and constantly bothers her should I just lock him out?

Answer
No, you shouldn't lock him out.  That will allow him to create many unwanted kittens.  He should be put away in a room where he won't be able to have access to your female, until he's neutered.  Some unneutered males may kill kittens.

Please have him neutered as soon as possible.  If he fathers any more litters with his daughter or any of his other children, you are likely to begin to see awful birth defects.  A neuter is very inexpensive, and a cat recovers quickly - usually by the next day.

I would also encourage you to spay the mama 10 days after the kittens are weaned.  Cats who are not spayed can get uterine and ovarian cancer, as well as a deadly infection of the uterus, called pyometra.  They also are far more likely to get mammary cancer.
