my cat wont eat

for about a week now my cat wont anything i put in his dish he is still a kitten i got him about 2 months ago and i always feed him the caned food...but now he aint eating anything he might lick the gravy or take a few bits but thats about it...and normally he is playing all the time and that has went down alot and he is always by my side and sleeps with me every night and doesn't get up in less i do i don't have the money to take him to the vet so i was hoping you could me some ideas because i am out

The problem you have is that there are all kinds of reasons a kitten may stop eating.  None of them are good and many of them may require treatments which might be contrary to another possible cause.

So, you see, the only option is to get the kitten to a vet and see what is really going on and provide the appropriate treatment.

If kittens get too far down, they may never recover, so you do not have a lot of time.

I am sorry I cannot give you much more than this, but, as I have stipulated, I am not a vet, and this is not something that can be diagnosed via e-mail.
