Question
I have a all white female cat who is about 9-10 months and is going through her heat cycle. I want her to have babies with my friends cat, who is also a white cat which is 3 years old. how do i get these two to mate instead of fight?

Answer
Hi Sara, thank you for the question. Are these purebred cats? Did you know that if you breed two white cats together that you will not necessarily get any white kittens? Also, if you do get white kittens they could be deaf! It is probably best not to pursue this unless you are really prepared and these are purebred cats. If you read some of the questions in this category you will see some of the problems people run into when breeding their cats. A ceasarian can cost upwards of $700 !! Do you really want to do this to your cat? and yourself? If they are purebred and you have homes for the kittens and are financially able to breed her then there should be no problem with the two cats getting along. As long as they are both open (not spayed or neutered) and she is in heat, mother nature takes care of things! Has the male bred before?
