How old does a cat have to be to get pregnant?

I have two kittens (Joey, male is 4 months) Jessica female is 3 months 26 days old). I think she is in heat as she is moaning and rolling all over the floor. He keeps biting her on the neck, back, hind legs and following her around. I am going to have them fixed as soon as I can get an appointment yet that won't be until the last week of February. Can she get pregnant this young?

Hi Carole,

I have some bad news for you. Yes cats can go into heat as young as 4 months. It does sound like she is going into heat. If you can, take her to the vet to have her checked out.  You are going to have to keep them separate unless you want a litter of kittens. Good luck.
