ANSWER: Is she having contractions Tina? Put your hand on her side and you will be able to feel it go hard and tight and she will glaze over during that time because of the pain. Then her belly will soften again and she will relax a bit. Get back to me. I will be online for another hour.

ANSWER: Hi Tina, Well I am glad she had one for you and you don't have to worry so much anymore. It can take up to 12 hours for the second kitten to come.. and of course it is always possible that she is only having one kitten?!

QUESTION: hi teresa.
My cat had 2 kittens wednesday but today i noticed she was bleeding a little bit of blood is that normal after she has not long had kittens because i am a bit worried about her
ANSWER: Hi Tina, Having a bit of bloody discharge is quite normal. You can always tell if a cat is doing ok by their behaviour. Is she eating ok? taking care of the kittens? etc.
I would not worry too much unless she seems ill in other ways.

QUESTION: hi teresa my cat had 2 kittens a week ago but the problem is one of the kittens cord has come of 4 days ago but the other kittens cord has not fell of yet how long does it tske to fall of

Answer
Hi Tina, The kittens should have both lost their cords by now. Is the mom licking them a lot? Usually mom will knock the cord right off. Can you look at where the cord joins the kittens tummy and see if it is dry and dark (the cord) If it appears wet then it may have an infection. If it is dry and dark then you have nothing to worry about. It will come off soon. If it appears well joined and there is any wet discharge from the tummy area you will need to clean the area. Hydrogen peroxide is safe and easy to use. Try cleaning it about 4 times a day and if it doesn't look better after 24 hours I would take the kitten to a vet for assistance. An infection in that area can be serious.
