Question
there is a litter of 3 kittens in my yard.their mother is a stray we have been feeding since she was a kitten. The kittens are at least 6 weeks old.One of them has closed eyes and cannot appear to see.How can we really tell if she is blind without getting too close and if we take  her to a vet will she be accepted back by her mother

Answer
Barbara,

I am not a vet, but my guess is that the kitten has infected eyes and the puss has caused them to be stuck closed.  It is mandatory that this kitten see a vet as soon as possible to get its eyes treated and see if there is any permanent damage.

Please let me know what you find out.

best regards... Norm.
