QuestionShe is in labour with about 4 hours its her first litter, she is a year and a half old anyway there looks like a sack coming out but its been there for about 30 mins is there something wrong and what can i do to help?
AnswerTracie,
It usually takes about an hour of hard labor to produce the first kitten. If she will let you, you can use a soft cloth and gently pull the kitten with a downward motion in time with her contractions. If you cannot seem to get that to work, you may have to get to a vet. Try to avoid getting bitten, but it is imperative that kitten be delivered.
Please let me know how you make out with this first kitten.
Best regards... Norm.
